Greetings and blessings, beloved family and Happy World Mission Sunday!
Today, Sunday of the Twenty-ninth Week in Ordinary Time, we celebrate World Mission Sunday. We unite with the universal Church in praying for all missionaries who bring the Good News to the ends of the earth. May the Holy Spirit renew in every baptized Christian a deep sense of missionary zeal, courage, and compassion. We pray for those serving in challenging or dangerous regions, that they may be strengthened in faith and protected from all harm. May the light of Christ shine through their witness and touch hearts across every nation. Through the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary and the Saints, we humbly pray for God’s Divine Grace and Mercy upon us all. We pray for missions, missionaries, the poor, the needy and most vulnerable around the world. We ask for the intercession of the new Saints in the church. May they all intercede for us. Amen🙏🏽
We joyfully thank God for the gift of life and for leading us into the month of October. May this month bring us God’s blessings, peace, and joy in abundance. We pray for eternal repose of our loved ones who recently passed. May this month bring peace to troubled hearts, direction to the lost, comfort to the grieving, and strength to the weary. In all things, may His will be done and His name be glorified. Amen🙏🏽
Lord Almighty, we lift our hearts in gratitude for Your unfailing love, protection, and mercy that carried us through the past month. We entrust every day into Your hands, asking for Your blessings, guidance, and peace in our lives and families. May October be for us a season of renewed faith, deeper hope, and overflowing joy. We pray especially for all families, for children, parents, and teachers, that they may be strengthened and protected. Bless those who will celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, new opportunities, and milestones this month, and comfort those who enter October with heavy hearts or struggles. Lord, go before us, walk beside us, and remain with us always, now and forever. Amen🙏🏽
Today, we humbly pray for the poor, abandoned, and those in need, for all those who are marginalized in our society. For those who are imprisoned, especially those who are unjustly imprisoned. We pray for charitable organizations, asking God’s blessing upon their mission and we lift our prayers for peace, love, justice and unity in our families, marriages and our world. May God protect us all and keep us safe and united in peace, love and faith. Amen 🙏🏽
Through the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary on this special Feast day, we lift our prayers for the protection, safety and well-being of missionaries, pilots, and all travelers. We ask for healing for the sick and dying, especially those who are suffering from cancers and other terminal diseases, strength for the weary, peace in troubled homes, and provision for all in need. Guide our steps in righteousness, protect us from harm, and fill our hearts with faith, joy, and gratitude. May this month draw us closer to Your will, and may every day be a testimony of Your goodness and mercy in our lives. We begin this month with trust in Your unfailing love, Lord, and we surrender all that lies ahead into Your hands. Amen 🙏🏾
We continue to pray for the Church, the Clergy, our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, the Cardinals, Bishops, all Priests, that they be sanctified in their ministry to God’s people. We pray for persecuted Christians, for the conversion of sinners, and Christians all over the world suffering from political and religious unrest.
Through the intercession of St. Joseph, we pray for all fathers, mothers, workers, and all those who labor in this world. May the Lord bless the work of their hands, and may God’s grace and mercy be with us all during this season of Ordinary Time. Wishing us all and our loved ones a joyful, peaceful, and grace-filled month of October. 🙏🏽
We remember in prayer all who began this journey of life with us but are no longer here. We pray for the gentle repose of the souls of our loved ones who recently passed away, and we continue to pray for the souls in Purgatory; lost souls. For the repose of the souls of all the faithful departed, may the Lord receive them into the light of Eternal Kingdom.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” ~ Matthew 5:4
PRAYER FOR THE DEAD: In your hands, O Lord, we humbly entrust our brothers and sisters. In this life, you embraced them with your tender love; deliver them now from every evil, and bid them eternal rest. The old order has passed away: welcome them into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no weeping or pain, but fullness of peace and joy with your Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen🙏🏽
“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His Saints.” ~ Psalm 116:15
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon them. May their gentle souls through the mercy of God rest in perfect peace with our Lord Jesus Christ… Amen 🙏🏽 ✝️🕯✝️🕯✝️🕯

I promise, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor granted me by God and to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.
Amen 🙏🏽

We now recommend to your kindness (name of patient) who is in a critical condition. May the cure of this patient increase his/her faith and love for the Lord of Life, for the glory of our merciful God. Amen 🙏🏽
THE NEWLY CANONIZED SAINTS | On this day, October 19, 2025, the Canonization Ceremony includes martyrs, founders of religious orders, doctors, and laypeople from various parts of the world, including Papua New Guinea, the Ottoman Empire (modern-day Turkey), Italy, and Venezuela.
Each of them walked a unique path to sainthood, witnessing to Christ through courageous faith, charity, and service. Pope Leo XIV continues the legacy of his predecessors by canonizing these saints who lived exemplary lives of holiness and dedication. Their canonization reminds the Church that sanctity knows no boundaries of nation, vocation, or circumstance.
SAINT IGNATIUS CHOUKRALLAH MALOYAN (1869 – 1915): Armenian Catholic Archbishop of Mardin and martyr. He was executed during the Armenian Genocide for refusing to renounce his Christian faith. His steadfast courage and fidelity to Christ remain a radiant witness to perseverance in persecution.
Feast Day: June 11
SAINT PETER TO ROT (1912 – 1945): A lay catechist from Papua New Guinea, martyred during the Japanese occupation in World War II for defending the sanctity of Christian marriage and moral truth. He is the first native saint of Papua New Guinea, a model of lay holiness and unwavering faith.
Feast Day: July 7
SAINT VINCENZA MARIA POLONI (1802 – 1855): Co-founder of the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of Verona, she devoted her life to serving the poor, sick, and marginalized. Her humility and compassion continue to inspire her congregation’s charitable works.
Feast Day: November 11 (also September 10 for the Sisters of Mercy of Verona)
SAINT MARIA DEL MONTE CARMELO RENDILES MARTINEZ (1903 – 1977): Founder of the Congregation of the Servants of Jesus, she radiated Eucharistic devotion and deep love for the poor. Through her gentle leadership, she taught that holiness blossoms in humble, faithful service.
Feast Day: May 9
SAINT MARIA TRONCATTI (1883 – 1969): An Italian Salesian missionary nurse who served in the Amazon region of Ecuador. Combining medical care with evangelization, she brought healing and the light of Christ to indigenous communities in remote jungles.
Feast Day: August 25
SAINT JOSE GREGORIO HERNANDEZ CISNEROS (1864 – 1919): A Venezuelan physician known as the “Doctor of the Poor.” Deeply devoted to his faith, he treated patients freely, integrating science and Christian charity. He is the first Saint from Venezuela, a powerful example of holiness in professional life.
Feast Day: October 26
SAINT BARTOLO LONGO (1841 – 1926): An Italian layman and founder of the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompeii and the Dominican Sisters of Pompei. Once far from God, he underwent a dramatic conversion and became a tireless promoter of the Rosary and Marian devotion. His life testifies to God’s mercy and the transforming power of prayer.
Feast Day: October 5
This canonization unites the global Church in joy and thanksgiving. From archbishop to doctor, from catechist to missionary, each of these saints shows that holiness is attainable in every vocation and culture. Their lives remind the faithful that to follow Christ is to live with love, courage, and perseverance. May their prayers strengthen our faith and inspire us to walk the path of holiness in our daily lives.
PRAYER: Lord our God, we thank You for the gift of these newly canonized Saints who have shown us the beauty of holiness in diverse vocations, as martyrs, missionaries, founders, and lay faithful. Through their intercession, grant us the courage to live our faith boldly, to serve with humility, and to bring Your love to the ends of the earth. May their example renew the Church and inspire us to walk faithfully in the path of sanctity. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.🙏🏽

Reading 1: Exodus 17:8–13

Reading 2: 2 Timothy 3:14–4:2
Gospel: Luke 18:1–8
Gospel Reading ~ Luke 18:1–8
“Will not God then secure the rights of His chosen ones who call out to Him day and night? Will He be slow to answer them?”
“Jesus told His disciples a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary. He said, “There was a judge in a certain town who neither feared God nor respected any human being. And a widow in that town used to come to him and say, ‘Render a just decision for me against my adversary.’ For a long time the judge was unwilling, but eventually he thought, ‘While it is true that I neither fear God nor respect any human being, because this widow keeps bothering me I shall deliver a just decision for her lest she finally come and strike me.'” The Lord said, “Pay attention to what the dishonest judge says. Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night? Will he be slow to answer them? I tell you, he will see to it that justice is done for them speedily. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”
In today’s Gospel, Jesus presents the parable of the persistent widow to teach the power of perseverance in prayer. The widow, powerless in society, faced an unjust judge who cared neither for God nor for people. Yet her persistence moved even his hardened heart. If an unjust judge can be swayed by perseverance, how much more will our loving Father hear and answer His children who cry to Him day and night? This parable is not about wearing God down but about building our faith through stemadfast prayer. Prayer is not only asking, it is trusting. It sustains our relationship with God, especially when we feel unheard or weary. Jesus’ closing question, “Will He find faith on earth?” reminds us that persistent prayer is an expression of living faith, a trust that refuses to give up even when God seems silent.
In the first reading, Moses stands on the hill with the staff of God as Israel battles Amalek. As long as Moses keeps his hands raised in prayer, Israel prevails; when he lowers them, the enemy gains strength. Aaron and Hur support his arms until victory is won. This scene powerfully portrays the strength of communal prayer and perseverance. Just as Israel triumphed through steadfast intercession, we too must uphold one another in faith, especially when our “arms grow weary.” The raised hands of Moses symbolize dependence on God, the source of victory.
Reflecting on the Responsorial Psalm, the Psalmist proclaims, “Our help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” It is a song of confidence in God’s constant protection. When life’s battles feel overwhelming, we can lift our eyes to the One who neither slumbers nor sleeps. God guards our coming and going, our days and nights, and He is always near. Prayer anchored in this trust becomes a wellspring of peace, assuring us that the Lord is our guardian and defender.
Reflecting on the second reading, in his letter to Timothy, St. Paul urges steadfastness in the faith and fidelity to Scripture. The Word of God, inspired and living, equips believers for every good work. Paul’s exhortation to “proclaim the word, whether convenient or inconvenient” is a call to perseverance in mission, much like the widow’s persistence in prayer. The true disciple remains faithful, rooted in the Word, and courageous in bearing witness to Christ despite obstacles or discouragement.
As we reflect and meditate on the words of the Sacred Scriptures on this World Mission Sunday during this Jubilee Year of Hope, all of us are reminded of our obligation as Christians, to obey the Lord our God, His will, His Law and commandments. We are called to ask ourselves: Do I persist in prayer even when God seems silent or distant? When I face trials, do I seek strength from the Word of God and from the community of faith as Moses did from Aaron and Hur? Am I patient and trusting enough to wait for God’s justice in His time, or do I lose heart easily? How can I cultivate a spirit of perseverance and unwavering faith in my relationship with God? Beloved in Christ, today’s readings call us to a faith that perseveres. Like Moses, we must keep our hands lifted in prayer; like the widow, we must persist without losing heart; and like Timothy, we must remain grounded in the Word. God’s justice may not come instantly, but it is certain. Persevering prayer does not change God, it changes us, molding our hearts into steadfast trust. Let us continue to pray always and never lose heart, for our help truly comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. May the Lord, our most loving and compassionate God continue to help us to stay true to our faith and commitment in Him, and may He encourage and strengthen us to remain firm in our faith and devotion despite all the challenges that we may have to face in our journey and life, now and always. May the Lord in His infinite grace and mercy, grant us the grace to bear rich fruits and go where the Lord is leading us. May God bless us all in our every good efforts and endeavours, now and always, forevermore as we remain steadfast in faith and continue to serve Him in spirit and in truth. 🙏🏽
Heavenly Father, You are our help and protector. Strengthen our faith when prayer feels hard and hope seems far away. Teach us to trust that You hear our cries even in silence. May we never grow weary in seeking You, but remain steadfast, knowing that Your timing is perfect and Your love unfailing. Help us to lift one another up in faith and to draw strength from Your Word each day. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. 🙏🏽
MEMORIAL OF SAINTS JOHN (JEAN) DE BRÉBEUF, ISAAC JOGUES, PRIESTS AND MARTYRS, AND THEIR COMPANIONS, MARTYRS; SAINT PETER OF ALCANTARA, PRIEST; AND BLESSED JERZY (GEORGE) POPIEŁUSZKO, PRIEST ~ FEAST DAY: OCTOBER 19TH: Today, the Church honors courageous witnesses of faith who gave their lives and labors for Christ: Saints John (Jean) de Brébeuf, Isaac Jogues, Priests and Martyrs, and their Companions, Martyrs (Patron Saints of North America); Saint Peter of Alcantara, Priest (Patron of Night Watchmen, Eucharistic Adoration, and Brazil); and Blessed Jerzy (George) Popiełuszko, Priest (Patron of the Solidarity Movement and Defender of Truth). Through their heroic example and the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary, we pray for courage in the face of persecution, strength in trials, and steadfast love for God’s will. We entrust to their prayers the sick and suffering, especially those battling cancer or chronic illness; widows, widowers, and families burdened by hardship; and the poor and forgotten. May God grant eternal rest to the faithful departed and console the souls in Purgatory. May persecuted Christians find hope in Christ, and may sinners return to God’s mercy. Amen. 🙏🏾

SAINTS JOHN (JEAN) DE BRÉBEUF, ISAAC JOGUES, PRIESTS AND MARTYRS, AND THEIR COMPANIONS, MARTYRS: The North American Martyrs—six French Jesuit priests and two lay missionaries—offered their lives to proclaim Christ among the Huron and Iroquois peoples of Canada and New York. They endured unspeakable hardship, torture, and death, yet their love for Christ never wavered. Among them, Saint Isaac Jogues (1607–1646) stands out as the “Apostle of the Mohawks.” Mutilated during captivity, he received papal permission to celebrate Mass with his injured hands—an enduring symbol of missionary perseverance. These martyrs bore witness to the Gospel’s power through sacrifice, and their blood became the seed of the Church in North America. Canonized by Pope Pius XI in 1930, they remain shining models of courage and evangelization.
PRAYER: O God, who consecrated the first fruits of faith in North America through the preaching and martyrdom of Saints John, Isaac, and their companions, grant that through their intercession, Your Church may continue to grow in holiness and missionary zeal. Amen. 🙏🏾
SAINT PETER OF ALCANTARA, PRIEST (1499–1562): A Spanish Franciscan reformer, Saint Peter of Alcantara was a man of extraordinary penance, prayer, and humility. Born into nobility, he renounced luxury to live a life of austere devotion. He became a close friend and spiritual director to Saint Teresa of Ávila, supporting her Carmelite reform. Known for his mysticism and wisdom, he practiced severe self-discipline and inspired others toward holiness. His reforms renewed Franciscan life, emphasizing poverty and contemplative prayer. He died in deep communion with God at Arenas de San Pedro, Spain. Canonized in 1669 by Pope Clement IX, Saint Peter of Alcantara is venerated as a model of spiritual endurance and reforming zeal.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, through the humble and holy life of Saint Peter of Alcantara, You revealed the beauty of repentance and prayer. Help us to reform our hearts before seeking to reform the world. Amen. 🙏🏾
BLESSED JERZY (George) POPIEŁUSZKO, PRIEST (1947–1984): Blessed Jerzy Popiełuszko was a courageous Polish priest who defended faith and truth during Communist oppression. As chaplain to the Solidarity Movement, he preached non-violence and the moral power of truth, reminding the faithful that “truth never changes—it is the path to freedom.” His homilies inspired a nation but drew the ire of Communist authorities, who brutally murdered him on October 19, 1984. Beatified in 2010, Blessed Jerzy remains a powerful intercessor for those who face injustice, oppression, and moral corruption. His life reminds us that fidelity to Christ often requires courage in the face of worldly power.
PRAYER: O God of truth and freedom, You gave Blessed Jerzy Popiełuszko courage to proclaim justice and peace in times of darkness. Grant that we may speak the truth in love and remain steadfast in conscience even when it costs us dearly. Amen. 🙏🏾

DEVOTION OF THE MONTH OF OCTOBER | MONTH OF THE HOLY ROSARY: October is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary, a powerful prayer that draws us into the heart of the Gospel through the eyes of Mary. The Rosary is more than repetition. It is a meditation on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, united with the loving presence of His Blessed Mother. As Pope St. John Paul II reminded us, the Rosary is “a compendium of the Gospel,” helping us to contemplate Christ’s face with Mary.
The twenty mysteries of the Rosary, Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and Luminous, invite us to journey with Christ from His Incarnation to His Passion and His triumph over death. Each mystery opens us to God’s saving love, strengthens our faith, and leads us to imitate the virtues of Jesus and Mary in our daily lives. This month, the Church invites us to renew our devotion to the Rosary by praying it daily, whether alone, in families, or in community. Through it, we find peace in times of trial, strength against temptation, and deeper trust in God’s providence. Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosary, intercedes for us and leads us always to her Son.
“O Mary, our Blessed Mother and Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, teach us to pray with a pure heart and a steadfast spirit. As we meditate on the mysteries of Christ, help us to grow in faith, hope, and love. Intercede for us before your Son, that our families, our Church, and our world may be filled with peace and the light of the Gospel. Amen.” 🙏🏽

PRAYER INTENTIONS: Heavenly Father, on this Twenty-ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time, as we honor Saints John de Brébeuf, Isaac Jogues, and their companions, Saint Peter of Alcantara, and Blessed Jerzy Popiełuszko, we lift up our hearts in faith and perseverance. We pray for the grace to remain steadfast in prayer, like Moses who raised his hands in intercession and like the persistent widow who never lost hope. Strengthen Your Church in courage and fidelity, especially in times of trial and opposition. We remember all missionaries, priests, and evangelists who continue the work of proclaiming the Gospel in difficult places. Grant peace and protection to persecuted Christians around the world, and inspire the faithful to stand firm in truth and love. We entrust to Your mercy those suffering from war, oppression, poverty, and illness, especially those who feel forgotten or abandoned. Bless families, the sick, the poor, and all who labor for justice and peace. Through the intercession of today’s saints, may our lives reflect the power of persistent prayer, unwavering faith, and sacrificial love. Amen. 🙏🏾
LET US PRAY:
Most just Judge, You desire to transform every injustice into mercy by calling us to freely embrace those injustices out of love. This is a high calling, dear Lord, but it is also a glorious one. Please give me the grace I need to follow Your example and to persevere in this form of prayer always. Jesus, I trust in You. Amen 🙏🏽
Lord God, our refuge and strength, You call us to pray without ceasing and to trust in Your justice. Grant us the endurance of Moses, the faith of the widow, and the courage of the martyrs we celebrate today. May our prayers rise before You like incense, sustaining us in times of weariness and uncertainty. Teach us to see Your hand at work even when answers seem delayed, and help us to persevere in love and faith. Through the example of Saints John de Brébeuf, Isaac Jogues, Saint Peter of Alcantara, and Blessed Jerzy Popiełuszko, may we live as faithful witnesses to the Gospel, standing firm in truth, hope, and compassion. Through Christ our Lord. Amen. 🙏🏾

Thanking God for the precious gift of this new day, and during this gentle rhythm of Ordinary Time, may our hearts remain open to the quiet working of the Holy Spirit who continues to guide, renew, and strengthen us each day. As we begin this new month of October, we lift our hearts in gratitude for the blessings of the past and entrust the days ahead into God’s loving hands. May this month be filled with hope, safety, and the quiet joy that comes from knowing that Christ walks with us always. Alleluia!
