HAPPY 70TH BIRTHDAY TO OUR DEAR BELOVED, POPE LEO XIV!💙🤍💙

Today is a day to rejoice and be glad, indeed! On this special Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ, we celebrate the 70th birthday of our dear beloved Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV!
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace” ~ Numbers 6:24-26
As we celebrate this special milestone with our Holy Father, please let us keep him in our prayers and ask for the Lords guidance and protection upon him as he continues to shepherd the Lord’s flock and serve with compassion, peace and love!
We pray for many more meaningful and fruitful years, good and stable health of body and mind for Pope Leo XIV. May he be strengthened in his ministry and continue building bridges that connect us to one another. May he be an example of faith, hope, and love. May the good Lord grant him peace, love, joy, and happiness in his work and a renewed fervor for the Gospel message. Thanking him for his dedicated, faithful, and loving service to God and His people in the Lord’s Vineyard.
A BRIEF LIFE JOURNEY OF POPE LEO XIV
Pope Leo XIV, born Robert Francis Prevost on September 14, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois (USA), grew up in a devout Catholic family that nurtured his faith from an early age. Drawn to the Augustinian Order, he entered formation and professed solemn vows in 1981. He was ordained a priest on June 19, 1982, beginning a lifelong vocation of service to God and the Church.
Fr. Prevost dedicated much of his ministry to education, formation, and missionary work. He spent many years in Peru, where he served as a missionary, seminary professor, and formator, leaving a lasting impact through his pastoral zeal and love for the people. His leadership qualities led to his election as Prior General of the Augustinians in 2001, a position in which he guided the Order worldwide for two consecutive terms.
In November 2014, Pope Francis appointed him Apostolic Administrator of Chiclayo, Peru, and in 2015 he became Bishop of Chiclayo. His service and dedication were further recognized when, in January 2023, Pope Francis named him Prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops, entrusting him with the crucial responsibility of overseeing the appointment of bishops worldwide. Later that same year, he was elevated to the College of Cardinals.
Following the passing of Pope Francis on April 21, 2025, the College of Cardinals gathered in conclave. On May 8, 2025, Cardinal Prevost was elected as the 267th Successor of St. Peter, choosing the papal name Leo XIV. His papacy has already been marked by humility, bridge-building, and a deep commitment to evangelization and pastoral care.
Today, on his 70th birthday, we thank God for the gift of his life and vocation, his years of dedicated service, and his fatherly guidance as the shepherd of the universal Church.
PRAYER FOR POPE LEO XIV
O God, shepherd and ruler of all the faithful, look favorably on your servant Leo, whom you have set at the head of your Church as her shepherd; grant, we pray, that by word and example he may be of service to those over whom he presides so that, together with the flock entrusted to his care, he may come to everlasting life. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen 🙏🏽
